So I guess blogger has a iPhone app now. This is pretty cool cause now I an pretty much blog anywhere. Not that I blog a lot, but you know every now and then it doesn't hurt. I doubt anyone reads this anyways.

You know what's terrible?? My iPhone is broken. It doesn't vibrate anymore. It's weird cause I just got it a couple of months ago. I think I got a refurb one though because odd things keep popping up in my calendar.

She was lying on the bed when she asked, "son, did you pray for me?"

I replied, "Of Course!"

Then she said, "Did you want to pray now?"

So I went to her bedside, put my hand on her shoulder and started to pray. I never really get a chance to pray with her, and it was a wonderful moment. To be able to pray with/for my mom.

To me, that was a holy moment.

Insecurities...

It's funny how no matter how old you are, you still have insecurities. You may seem like the most confident person in the entire world, but inside those insecurities still linger. I have tons of insecurities. Lots of things go through my mind all the time. It sometimes can absolutely bring you down and totally make you feel depressed. It's important to remember though that the insecurities that you think about aren't what defines you, and most of the time those insecurities are lies. Hearing Alison speak a couple of weeks ago really spoke to me, and it spoke to a lot of the youth too. God didn't create you so you can feel down and insecure. He created you so you can love others and live life with joy and happiness. Sure there will always be those days where you just feel like crap, but through it all, you should stand up against the accuser and rebuke him.

I was reminded about this again and it was weird because there I was playing hockey and all I could think about was this one thing. It wasn't hockey related, but it kept on lingering in my mind. Over and over in my head it kept on replaying "you're useless, you're useless, no one likes you, etc". The anger inside was starting to bubble up, and it kept on getting worse. Then I remembered something I read in Pslams. Psalms 4:4 reads "In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Selah". Then right there, I just prayed and it felt like all the weight was lifted off my shoulders.

There are always going to be battles, hardships, sadness, but I guess it's important to stand up against it because after these battles, comes joy, happiness, and peace. So hang in there!!

I don't know who reads this....but hang in there! May God's peace fall upon each of you as you face those difficult times!

I always thought snuggies weren't real, but I guess they are....hahaha...and what better snuggie to have than a teenage mutant ninja turtle one?!?!!? hahaha.

There's like no one at work today. It's pretty quiet. So what are people's plans for new years??

Someday I think it would be cool to go to New York for new years. Just like how it would be cool to be in Hong Kong or Shanghai for Chinese New Years. To see all the fireworks and all that would be awesome!!

Here's my blog to close off the year. Who knows...maybe I'll blog more frequently in the new year. My resolution for next year is to get in shape. I know everybody has that resolution, but I'm going to try really hard!! I made one two years to not eat chips and I made it through....It was really hard...but I did it. I gotta say I did crack though, but for the most part, I didn't eat any chips at all.....for reals...ask my family. So this year, I plan to get into shape and I'm writing it down so I remember.

Wow, it seems like forever since I last blogged. I don't know what to write. No one really blogs anymore, but who knows, maybe someone will read this and be interested...hahaha.

There hasn't really been anything new in my life. Just the same old me. Eat, Sleep, and Work...that's pretty much it.

I did buy a new guitar amp. I got the VOX AC15. I also got to try it out at SNOW so that was pretty cool. After playing that Sunday, I realize that I really do suck on the guitar, and for someone who has been playing for quite the number of years, I should be way better!! hahaha....

What else is new?? Our church is having their 50th Anniversary Celebration this coming Sunday so that should be super exciting. I heard there is a good slideshow, and some really embarrassing pics of me...so I'm kinda looking forward to it, but not looking forward to it at the same time.

I want to go on vacation!! I want to go somewhere sunny and warm and hot..haha...Hawaii anyone?? How about LA?? drop me a comment! hahaha

Blogging with the iPhone

So I'm testing this out to see if I can actually blog with my phone and it seems to be working just fine. That's cool!! Maybe I should not be so stingy and actually pay for a data plan....nah!! Hahaha

today church sermon really hit home for me. It was one that I was really interested in and I totally felt that God was speaking to me. Pastor Gordon (PG) talked about how David brought the ark of the covenant to Jerusalem and in his first. Try at it, he disobeyed God's commands of handling the ark and exuded to do something lavish. Then PG brought up points about quality over quantity. He was saying that churches these days are more focussed on quantity instead of quality and sometimes that's not what God has called us to do. This got me thinking about Yac. Are we worried about the quantity over the quality??

I admit that my focus hasn't always been there for the past couple of months and that's probably because I need to figure out what my role is in Yac. I want to have a stronger relationship with the youth, but I don't know if that's my role now....I still need to pray about it.

The main thing for me to remember is that it's not the number of youth that come to Yac, but it's the quality of the people that come. I want to raise a generation that seeks Gods face and that truly have a relationship with Jesus. Not a youth group where we can boast about how awesome our events are or about how many people come out to it.

The story in the Bible about David is quite interesting and I think there are tns to learn from it. Check it out. 2 Samuel 6 (David disobeys God). 1 Chronicles 15 (David handling the ark the right way)

Otafest.....anime....costume?!?!

Hsaha.....ohh man.

What am I going to dress up as on Friday?!?! I don't even watch anime. I was thinking of dressing up as Ang. You know the boy from Avatar the last Airbender, but then I would have to shave my head and draw in arrows...haha.....

Man, was that a good cartoon....too bad it's over, but I guess it's better than having it drag on forever! I only started watching that show because I heard some of my youth talk about it, so I wanted to check out what they were talking about.....haha.....and then I was hooked. I don't like watching any other anime though. I like watching cartoons....not anime. Has anyone ever seen "My Goldfish is Evil"??? I think that's a funny cartoon....haha.

So this Friday is Otafest in YAC. So come dressed up as your favorite anime character. Remember to bring your cameras too because you'll never know...you might get to take a picture with some other cool anime characters!

Has anyone ever seen Run's House on MTV? I really like that show! I don't know why, but I think it's pretty funny. I think it's just cool to have Rev. Run as your dad. Imagine having a dad that's one of the biggest hip hop stars ever. The funniest thing is that he can beat box too, so he can jam and rap with you..haha.

I think the coolest part is the last part of the episode where he gives advice through his Blackberry. A lot of the times, the advice is good advice and if you think about it, it has a lot of value to it.

I kind of understand the value of doing devotions every morning. I mean, I hardly do them in the morning, but if you do, it could change your whole outlook on the day. Maybe I should start doing devotions when I wake up. That would be a huge change for me. Let's see if I can do it.

I'm leading worship on Sunday so I gotta think of some songs to sing.....should be interesting. I think we need to sing some new songs, but all of the new songs are so technical now. It's pretty difficult....but I think it's required.

I haven't written in this blog for a long time. I'm actually surprised that it is still here. I wonder who still reads this?? Is there someone out there who is anxiously waiting for my next post??? That would be pretty funny.....and kinda creepy at the same time. I haven't updated this for so long that all the links below are broken except for the comment one.

The last time I blogged was exactly 1 year ago after YC. I actually didn't go to YC this year, but I did go to Edmonton. It was fun and definitely good to get out of Calgary. It's been really busy and hectic here, so it was nice to get away and clear my head.

I think the highlight for me this year was getting the free Harvey's hamburger on Sunday. Man that was awesome, and the burger tasted so good too! I think the youth was pretty shocked that they could get a burger for free, but that's all because of me....hahaa....that's how I roll.

I'm looking for a nice tube guitar amp. Is there anyone out there that can recommend one for me? I'm not looking for a huge one, but a decent practice/gig amp. Since I sold my practice amp, I haven't even played my electric at all. I really should though. I also need to buy a power supply for my effects pedals. I'm thinking of getting the one spot, so we'll see.

YC was awesome! It wasn't the bands, it wasn't the speakers, it wasn't the food, or getting away from Calgary. It definitely was God and spending time with the youth. I loved just hanging out with them and joking around with them.

There were the odd tense times, and some really weird times!! But there were tons of good times!

I found that there weren't as many big bands this year. Maybe I've just gone too many times, but everything was kinda the same. It was good, don't get me wrong, but it was the same. We had awesome seats......6th row on the floor baby! :) haha. I got a good view of all the people sweating......eeeewww....especially when they wiped it off of their heads, you can literally see like big drips come off their hands...

This year, the Hawk Nelson concert was on the main stage so we didn't have to wait in the huge line ups. I basically saw everything that I wanted to see. The one thing I regret is that I didn't buy a Leeland shirt. Then after I saw it, I so wanted to buy one!!! NOOOO!!! ohh well. I guess I just have to wait.

This year, I definitely felt kinda old. My legs were tired after jumping...hahhaa...YC just isn't the same without United. Maybe they'll come next year. I hope we get good seats again!!

I have a renewed passion for the youth. It's not the same. It's different now. It's more of a teaching passion than a "be their friend" passion.

....I still have lots to think about....

This song really stuck in my mind at YC. AWESOME SONG! And to think it was written by a 19 yr old.....he would have been like 16-17 when he wrote it though.

So here's how the conversation went:

Telephone Rings....

Leo: "Hello?"

My Uncle 8: "Leo?? My basement is flooded, can you go to Uncle 5's house and pick up the water pump and bring it to my house please?? It's flooding really fast....HURRY"

At that time, I just finished vacuuming the house and I was sitting down watching some TV, but I didn't walk my dog yet. I quickly got up, grabbed my dog and ran outside.

In true Cash fashion, he promptly pee'd on the school field and pooped a little later on. Then I quickly ran back to the house and fed him.

Then I thought...ohh it's going to be flooded so I'll wear some crappy clothes. It just so happens that I have flood pants and a somewhat "easy dry" t-shirt so I put those on. I think the flood pants only go to my ankles so it looks really really funny.

I quickly ran out of the house and into my garage, I grab a hose from my garage and throw it in the trunk because I figure, we might need an extra hose to drain the water. I then pull out of my garage and speed off to my Uncle's house to pick up the pump.

I get to my Uncle's house and he answers the door. Then he says, "the water pump is downstairs, can you help me get it please" and then he books it down the stairs. I've never seen him run down the stairs so fast. I couldn't keep up. Then, when I finally got down the stairs, I hear a big "SURPRISE!!"

Downstairs is all my cousins and my church friends! They were there to surprise me! I was confused for a moment and at one point, I thought....."where's the pump?" and then it clued in. It was a wonderful birthday party!

The new United CD comes out TODAY! It should be really good because it's all recorded live at the different places they've been to. I wonder if they have their appearance at YC on there....I doubt it...haha, but that would be cool!

The new Hawk Nelson CD is also out today. I wonder if it's good? Their other CD's weren't too bad. Maybe I'll go pick that one up too.....we'll see.

Last night I went to the Matt Costa concert and it was awesome!! It's so cool that one of the people from the brushfire group came. Now if only Jack Johnson would come that would be the best. My friends and I would be all over that!

The opening band for Matt was Delta Spirit, they were actually pretty good. They had a good sound and some pretty unique things.

It's nice to see someone so technical and musically sound. It's always cool to see the bands that can actually do stuff with their instruments. Maybe I'm getting old, but the music is good too.....you may not think so, but it's like the University crowd music..haha..

YAY! This weekend is Long WEEKEND! YES YES YES!! I get to sleep in. I'm tempted to take Friday off, but I don't think I can do that.

Also, this Sunday is SNOW (Sunday Night of Worship). It starts at 7:30 and it's at the Cresent Heights Baptist Church. Click the link for more info.

It's true, no one blogs anymore...except for a handful of people.

I think some of the youth still blog, but that about it.

This week has been crazy busy. I've even been putting in a couple of extra hours all this week, and it's still not done. Since it's so busy, all I've been doing is going home and sleeping. I don't even feel like making a proper meal. I think all I had for dinner yesterday was cereal and some almonds...haha....and then I fell asleep.

Actually, I watched Pirates 3, and then I fell asleep. I actually watched the whole thing, which is pretty surprising because I fell asleep halfway through last time. There were parts that were a little slow, and then there were exciting parts, and then there were confusing parts......Calipso?!?! What's up with that. Leave it up to Disney to make a potentially cool movie into a weird love story...bleh...

Another movie I saw recently was Balls of Fury....haha. It was actually entertaining. It's not the best movie in the world, but it's entertaining. I think Christopher Watkin is cool. He only plays those kind of parts. The creepy guy....haha.

I haven't seen a movie in the theatre in a while.

So the new YAC theme is AMAZING RACE and it's based off of Hebrews 12:1. I'm really super stoked about this year. Seeing how everyone chips in will be interesting, and I know the new committee will be good. We just have to pray and seek God more.

I wish we had youth that can play the guitar. Any youth out there that wants to take guitar lessons? Or even try learning it on your own. I'm sure you can find tons of videos, lessons, etc out there on the internet!! LEARN!

WANTED: A Youngin' that is interested in playing the guitar. I'm not going to teach you, so you have to be motivated to learn on your own. Either by paying for lessons or learning by yourself. I don't care......just someone please learn the guitar!!

hmm....what else is new with me?? I bought new skates. It only costed me $40 dollars. Regular $150 at CDN Tire, but they had this super sale after boxing day. It was fantastic. Then I bought new hockey gloves. I think my gloves costed more than my skates...haha.

I think that's what I'm going to do now. Forget about boxing day shopping. Just go a couple of days later and it'll still be on sale...of course you don't have the widest selection, but you can still find those bargains out there! hahaha

So I went to this worship thingy on Sunday and it definitely was very cool. It was called Sunday Night of Worship (SNOW). It totally reminded me of breathe, but with a whole bunch of Chinese people leading it....hahaha. The worship was fantastic and they had a guy give his testimony and they played a NOOMA video. It was all very good. Very relaxing. I forgot what it was like to go to a worship event outside of your church. I think it's mainly geared towards college and career, so it was perfect for me!

What I liked about it the most was that it was totally about the worship. They wasn't really a message, but there was just good worship.

The next event is on Dec 23 at the Crescent Heights Baptist Church at 7:30. If you got the time, you should totally check it out. I'll be there.

Has anybody ever heard of the H2O journey?? I watched a video sample of it. It's like the NOOMA videos mixed in with some Alpha course stuff. At least that's what Blessings said..haha. I wonder if it would be a good thing to teach to our youth. The entire package is $350 though, however, it comes with 10 dvd's, a guide book, and a leader book.

I definitely would like to see more youth have a more firm foundation. We also have some new youth and I think we should give a salvation message soon. I also want to see them Baptized.....wouldn't that be cool??

I had MacDonals for dinner last night. I don't think I'll be doing that too often, but it was good. For some reason, those double cheeseburgers and tasty...hahaha. Must be the grease!

I haven't had much time to blog because works been getting busy. It's weird because sometimes there's nothing to do, and sometimes there's tons of things to do.

I got the simpsons game and zelda for my ds. The simpsons game is ok, but there's a lot of video clips, so it makes game play so much longer. The ds is really addicting. I know someone who's totally into nintendogs......NINTENDOGS?? out of all the games to be addicted to?!? haha. j/k. I guess I don't see the hype about it because I have a dog....I don't need a virtual one. I already neglect my real dog! :) ahahaha j/k.

I've been going out to eat a lot too. I probably should start packing my lunches, but eating out is so good. It's definitely better than a sandwich, but the sandwiches are cheaper. Hmmm...I wonder what I'll eat today. I didn't bring a lunch today either.

In other news, I'm on a 2 game goal streak. I've scored in the past 2 hockey games I've played in. I hope that can continue tonight. Granted, both my goals were ugly goals, but I guess a goal is a goal. Can't really do much about it...I'll still take it.

Ok, I guess I better get back to work. la la la la.....

Another Week Gone....

Wow

This week has gone by fast. I wish every week could be 4 days long. I wish every weekend could be 4 days long too! hahaha.

I'm getting the urge to buy new toys. What kind of toys you ask?? Umm..I don't know...I just want to buy new toys. I guess I did make a couple of big purchases recently. I think the biggest one was my hockey equipment, but that's for my health right?? :) hahaha....if only my company would pay for that. They pay for my gym membership, but not my sports equipment. DARN!

I've managed to put the Bible on my phone, which is pretty cool....now I'll never forget to bring my Bible on Sundays...haha.....except people will probably think I'm text messaging during the sermons, but I'm really looking at the Bible. I remember I thought Marvin was txting once, because he was scrolling and pushing buttons in his blackberry, but he was really reading the bible and taking notes! Haha....I thought it was weird at first, but it's actually pretty cool. I don't think I'll be taking notes on my phone though...that will take way to long with the T9 haha.

What else...hmm....I manage to connect to the internet with my DS, and because of that, I was playing Mario Kart with people all over the world! :) hahaha. The DS is really a cool little game console. Ingenius I tell ya....Those Nintendo people are brilliant.

Anyways....I'm pretty sure no one reads these anymore....at least not mine. Even the creepers out there have stopped....haha

I'M BACK!

Now that I don't have any school or anything and since I'm at work so early, I figured I have some time to blog. I haven't blog in a while yet again so here are just a couple of things that are going on.

I've started my new job at the end of August. It's been pretty good so far and the people here are super nice. I get my own office and I even get my very own neighbour to share it with....so I guess it's not my own. I was originally in a cubical, but they moved me. I don't know which one I like better....a cubical or an office?? I had a little more privacy in my cubical, but it's not that much more different than the office.

Since being at work, I've participated with the company in the CCC (corporate challenge). We did ok, but not that good! hahaha. It was still fun. I actually scored a goal in soccer so I was happy with myself.

hmmmm...what else...I have a renewed passion for YAC again. It's a different one. It's strange because a lot of our youth are getting older and it's strange to see them as young adults. I mean David is in grade 12?!?!?! What the heck? I remember when he was a 14 year old kid...that looked like he was in grade 12...hahaha j/k. I think my goal now is to be able to make the youth self sustainable. Make it so that they can grow in God all by themselves, and I want to prepare them for life after high school.

The intercessory prayer times before YAC started out well. We had a great turnout. In my head, I just think...wouldn't it be cool to see all these people that we've been praying for in YAC.

There's going to be a lot of changes nest year. The next year is going to be totally different. I wonder how much more longer will I be in it?

I bought the new David Crowder CD. It's pretty good. It's a lot like his other songs. I've noticed that he has a lot of songs that just repeat a sentence or a phrase over and over again...haha, but that's his stylo!

Adventures in California!

Well, my trip here is almost done. I feed very relaxed!

It was super cool seeing my cousins again and the highlight of the trip was definitely seeing Gooi get married.

What are some other highlights??

Well, going to Universal and Six Flags with my friends was definitely cool. I've never heard Philip scream that loud in my life! :) hahaha....it was cool though because we were all screaming!

At Universal, I've never been on the Mummy the ride, so it was cool to go on it. I won't ruin the ride for anyone, but it was unexpected. Shrek 4-D was cool too. Of course (this one is for Sam) the Terminator 3D was one of the better ones.

At Six Flags, I got to go on a couple of roller coasters that I've never been on. The X definitely was the scariest one, and I think at one point I stopped breathing because we were going so fast, but it was still fun. Tatsu was pretty exciting too.

Other than going to Universal and Six Flags, I've just basically been shopping and chilling at the beach.

I also bought a longboard (skateboard). I wanted to buy one when I saw people riding them on the beach. So I went out and got one. Here is what it looks like.

Anyways, I should be going to sleep now.

I'm back in Calgary soon and then it's time for the job hunt! hahaha.....let's pray summer camp will fit in the work shedule (that's if I get work! hahaha)

So, since I have so much time on my hands, I guess I'll start blogging again.

I haven't been up to very much lately. I'm just chilling and sleeping and applying for jobs. There aren't too many jobs out there, but hopefully things will pick up later on in the summer.

Some highlights of the month??

Well, YC was awesome. It's truly cool to go somewhere that is packed, literally packed, with so many youths. It was super cool seeing all the bands play. I think my favorite was of course United, but I really enjoyed David Crowder (Whom I've wanted to see for a while) and Lincoln Brewster. It kind of amazes me how good he is on the guitar and how good other people are on the guitar. I need to learn that stuff, but I just can't do it. I try, but it doesn't happen! :) hahahaha. Stupid me and my short stubby chinese fingers! I think the best part about YC was spending time with the kiddies...haha...they're hilarious. Altough some of them can get on your nerves, but overall, they were good, and seeing how excited they are about God now is pretty cool. Let's hope that it's long lasting and not just a weekend thing.

Some other highlights??? Summer Love

Not me, but other people. For some reason, everything.....I mean everything happened when we were away at YC??!?! What the crap? hahaha. Just hearing about everything that happened over the weekend was crazy! But I'm happy for all of you...

What else is new?

Well, our church has the opportunity to buy some land, so that's pretty cool. It's super far from where I live, but I think it's a good idea. I think it's good for us to look beyond our church and to explore other things, but we still have to pray about it.

OHh man.....did I make the wrong decision?

So as you may or may not know. I was offered a job, but the only catch was that I had to leave Calgary. I thought and prayed about it for a while and the conclusion that I've came up with is that I shouldn't take it. I responded and the supervisor emailed me back saying it was important to get out into the field so I can grow. I totally agree with this, but there are a lot of things that are tying me down here.....

....I started to second guess myself. Did I really make the right decision?? Even when the job market is slowing down......did I do the right thing? I mean I totally want to go out into the field, but the main thing that's detering me is leaving the church......more specifically leaving YAC and the newbies. I feel that I haven't quite finished my job yet in YAC and I don't want to leave everyone hanging. I want to leave YAC when the trainees are properly discipled. However, is this what God wants for me???

Finding a job was never supposed to be this difficult. I know God will provide, but what if that position was for me? I'm kinda desperate, but its not as if I am doubting. I know God will provide. Man this is tough....my main concern is serving God. When will I know my time is up??

I guess what's done is done. I can't look back now. I hope didn't burn any bridges with that company (but I probably did). I liked working for them, but I just wanted to expand my horizons and not be pigeon-holed into one thing.

I need open doors........I need more strength.........I need to have more faith.

Although I'm eating a very delicious rice crispy square that my friend made......mmmm....who knew chocolate chips in rice crispy squares would be so good. Maybe I'm hungry.

I did skate around the lake today. I took some shots on the net. It's cool too because I found another hockey puck! Sweet.......so now I have 3 hockey pucks. Then I was shooting, and scoring, and shooting and scoring. Then I missed.......and hockey puck went into the snow bank.......then I lost the hockey puck. So now I have 2 hockey pucks again.......so long hockey puck.

Hey guys.....so it's almost here. I'm almost done.

I got my iron ring sized the other day. It was kinda cool. My pinky is size 5.5 if anyone ever wants to buy me a pinky ring.....hahaha.

Although I'm almost done, I'm super busy with school too. It looks like I won't be able to hang out with anyone for a fairly long time, but that's ok. Just think of all the time I'll have to hang out with everyone once I graduate......yes....graduation. So the iron ring ceremony is on March 10. That's when I'll oficially join the cult...haha

I also got my grad pics....it's basically up to the parents to see which one they like. Most likely it'll be one with a hat....because that's the "chinese" thing to do.....meh. My prof also wanted a class picture taken, which is kinda nice of him. I think we're the only department that does this. Man for being engineers, we sure do have a lot of girls in our class.....hahahha. I think we're a particularly close group. All these people are my homies....hahaha. Although there are some people missing in this pic.

Reading week has been nice, but it's also been really busy. Man I wish I was done now. No more reports, assignments, exams......I want to be finished! Ohh well.

My life is so boring.....

I don't have anything to talk about. The only thing I do now-a-days is homework. What a drag.....

I'm actually trying to challenge a course and in order to do that, I have to finish 8 assignments by Feb 16.........crazy. I have one more week to go and I still have 2 more assignments to do. These assignments are stupidly long too!

YAC on Friday was super funny....ohh man....how I love the youth. They are so cool and they'll do absolutely anything. I love their excitement and their boldness too. The picture of the YAC spitting out a wad of gum/spit on the plate and smashing with their hands is hilarious!!

Church was good today too. Darren spoke and he was awesome! He even had powerpoint slides and everything. It was very well done! They're going through this new system where once a month, someone from the congregation speaks.......who's going to be next?? I think we're also going to have 1 week of every Sunday be like an evangelism service...so that will be cool.

Ok, I guess I better get back to work if I want to meet this deadline........

The 'rents come back on Thursday.....the house is so messy....ohh man...I'm going to have to clean big time!

Hehehe....YC is coming up again. Do you know who's going??? Yep...that's right...United. I hope it's the more well known United people though....not the up and comers. Ohh well. The crappy part is that I might be able to go. It all depends on if I am working, or if I am on vacation, etc.

For all of those that haven't been to YC. You should definitely go....it's an experience. Has anyone checked out the promo video yet? I can't watch it because it's in quicktime format, and I'm too lazy to download it.

I wonder if we're on the video. All I remember is Jen, Milton, Myself seeing the cameraman come close to us and then we all started jumping and then as soon as the camera left....we stopped jumping. Hahaha.....good times....good times.

So I just got back from LA. Man was it super fantastic. Even though I was gone for 4 days, it seemed like it was for a long time. It was very relaxing. I didn't have to do anything, or think about anything, or worry about school. It was nice. My cousin's wedding was super nice too. The nicest one I've ever been to. He had a cliff side - beach wedding. It was very very nice. Here's some pics I took with my phone.

One of the cool parts of the night was my cousin surprising his new wife with a cool lion dance with all of his groomsmen. He said it took him a couple of months to learn, but they did a good job. They even went on each others shoulders. It was pretty cool.

The coolest part was seeing my cousin get married and being able to spend time with my cousins on the other side of the family which I don't see very often. I also got to meet my niece and nephew for the first time too (cousin's kids).

All in all it was a very nice and relaxing trip!

actually, what I really need is a job. I don't know what kind of job I want, but all I know is that I want a good job. It's kinda sucky because beggers can't be choosers, but I really want to work for a good company. I'm actually getting kinda scared on what kind of job I'm going to get, but I guess that's totally up to God.

I'll leave it in God's hands. Let's see where I'm going next.

Currently, I'm sitting in the wonderful Piano Works studio. I'm supposed to be doing homework, but I don't really feel like doing it. hahaha.....plus there's not that much to do right now.

Well, it certainly has been a long time since I have posted, but I've been really really busy.

Well, after many sleepless nights, I have finished my second last semester of school. YES! Even though I thought I was going to fail, that didn't end up happening....thank God, but it sure was a close one! :) hahaha.

Now I'm preparing for my very last semester of school....YAY!!

Now that winter conference is over, it seems really different. It's hard to stop thinking about something after thinking about it for 2 weeks straight and having in the back of your mind for a couple of months. Winter conference was really good though. I enjoyed the speaker very much. He was very empowering and equipping. The worship was really good too. The South Gate team was really really good, and I'm glad that they did worship because it made the load a little lighter for me.

When I led worship it was really cool too. I've never done worship in front of so many people, but it was super fantastic. The people were really responsive and God really moved through them. It also was really fun playing with my team. Even though we've never played before, it was very enjoyable. I even got to jump for one of my songs......there were a couple of people jumping with me, but not that many....it's all good though. Actually, the crowd was singing so loud that I couldn't hear myself on my monitor the first night. I had to crank it up for the other sets....hahaha.

I also got to meet some very cool people. It was nice to talk to new faces.

For the main sessions, God really challenged me not to waste time. You never know what's going to happen, so make the most of your time now. Make the most of God's time for you. I pray that I can have the opportunity to bring my friends to church. I really want to see them come to God.

This year in YAC I want to see a lot of things change too. I want to see the youth step out and totally take their schools and friends and spread God's joy and love around. This year is going to be awesome!!

So we had our first practice for Winter Con last Saturday. It went really really well! The people on my team are super talented and super cool!! We're going to have so much fun!

I saw the songlist that the youth are singing and now I want to change a whole bunch of my songs! :) hahahaha. There's so many good songs that the youth are singing. I wonder if the adults would jump?? Should I change my songs? I want it to be for everyone and I want to make sure that they all can worship. I guess some people are really bothered when it's too fast...or too loud :) hehehe...it's kinda funny that they asked my to lead worship for the adults! :) I bet you this will be the last time....so I guess I better make it a good one! :)

What do you guys think?? Should I change some of my songs??

Hello,

Well, it looks like all that hard work in studying is going down the drain because it looks like I just failed my first midterm. It's not a good way to start out. Man, I just completely panicked and my mind went blank. I couldn't even do the easiest question in the whole entire test. Now that it's over, I totally know how to do it, and I can do it in like 15 mins....

My only hope now for this course is to do well on the final. If I do crappy on the final. It looks like I'm going to get an F. I know it seems like I'm blowing it way out of proportion, but I'm not. I wish I was, but no.....

I'm just not used to writing tests anymore. I get completely nervous and completely break down. It seems like I'm studying way more than I did for my other years, but I'm doing worse.....how can that be???

I couldn't even sleep last night because I was dwelling on my stupid midterm. Yup, I pulled an all nighter just thinking. I'm starting to wonder if this is really for me. I mean I don't really like it. I have no passion for it, and it's totally not fulfilling. Man...I just wish I could get through this year. That's all I want. I'm not even going to focus on getting a job anymore......

I need something good to happen to me....

I keep dwelling on the "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God" verse, but the more I dwell on it, the more I realize that I'm not really seeking Him. Finding a job and finishing school doesn't really fit into that category. I wonder what is God's Kingdom that I should be seeking? I know the more general things, but I'm talking about the specifics. Each person is unique in with their gifts from God and so they should be unique in what they seek from God. What am I seeking??

6 Day Weekend!

Hey Guys,

Because there's the Chemical Engineering Conference in Quebec, all the profs and some students are going to the east side and therefore, I HAVE A 6 DAY WEEKEND!! MUA AHAHAHAHAHAHA!

This is awesome. It'll finally give me a chance to catch up on my work and to study for my midterms!

I'm starting to apply for jobs, but it's not going successfully right now. I hope I get a good job. I pray that I get a good job.

I've made my sets for winter conference and sent them in. I'm really excited about it right now. I'm still debating if I want to stay at the hotel or not though. It would be really cool to stay at the hotel, but the $400 price tag is quite steep. I wish they would give subsidy's to worship team people! :) hahahaha

Wow, it's been like a month since I've blogged last.

What's new with me??
School is really busy. It sucks, but at least the days are relatively short....for now. I've ran into a couple of first year engineers that go to CPC. Can anyone guess who it is?? I will give them free admission to my zoo if they guess it right...hahaha.

Currently, I am also looking for a job so please pray that an opportunity will come for me. I want to get into the oil and gas industry, but since I don't have previous experience, no one will give me an interview. It kinda sucks that my internship wasn't in oil and gas, but meh....what can you do. Maybe my resume and cover letter just suck!! haha. My idea job would be a job at Encana so if anyone knows anybody, could you please hook me up!

Quizzes this year are really bad. I always make stupid mistakes that end up costing me big marks. Especially when they carry the error through....ohh well...at least I haven't failed any (thank God...but I did come pretty close to failing some! hahaha!)

I'm currently in the process of making some sets for winter conference. Now since South Gate is doing a couple of sets, I only have 3 sets to plan for. I guess that gives me time to really pray hard for these sets.

Well, it looks like I have to get started on some work so until next time boys and girls.......

Motorcycles suck! Especially when the people do stupid things.

I had a scary moment on Sunday. My heart was seriously pounding at a thousand beats per minute.

So there I was on my way to play some football, when I turned from the side street onto Canyon Meadows drive. I had a green light so I proceeded to turn. As I was on Canyon Meadows, I was about 150 yards from the lights so it was safe to change lanes. I checked my rearview mirror, signaled, shoulder checked and proceeded to change lanes because there were no cars.

At the same time, the light turned green on Canyon Meadows and this biker decides to rip it and off the light come speeding. As I was moving into the lane, I see him at the last second and I swerve back into my right lane. The biker freaks out, swerves left, hits the meridian and does like 6 flips end over end and is headed straight for the tree. I see this all in my mirrors and I stop immeadiately.

I get out and check if he's alright and thank God he walked away with just scratches. He starts yelling at me for cutting him off and says it's my fault. I say I signaled and did everything, and so we wait for the cops. When the cops come, they ask me if he hit my car. I said no and he tells me that witnesses saw the biker come in really fast and that it wasn't my fault. Also, since the biker didn't hit my car, I'm just considered a witness and not a part of the collision.

Thank God that the biker was ok and that he didn't hit my car!

The scariest moment was when I saw the bike flip 6 times.....yikes!

Whoa...

I Haven't blogged in a while. Since I've stopped working, there's no time to blog. I'm in class right now. It's really boring. They're teaching us how to use a simulation program called VMGSim, but I think it's just a gimmick to get their product into the market. Pretty smart eh? Teach it to the new students so all they know how to use is this "program" and so when we get into the work world, all we know how to use is this program and so everyone buys it.

STUPID!!

Ok....I think it's time for me to go now. There's someone looking over my shoulder....hahahaha....peace out!

I've always and I'm still wondering what am I doing here. It seems like camp was so far away. Have we forgotten what we've learned? Have we gone back to our normal selves? Camp wasn't an emotional high for me, but it was peaceful. There were no distractions. It was calm.

It sucks because it's different this year. There's been a lot of challenges and difficulties that I've been facing and still facing. I kind of just want to run away from it all. To not worry about anything and just run. My heart continues to burn for the youth, but my ambition and my drive is gone. I don't know what to do. It seems like there needs to be change in my life. There needs to be something else. I wish God would just speak to me and tell me what to do. I suppose I could be a lot more attentive. Maybe He's already trying to tell me something, but I just can't hear because I'm too worried about living life.

How can I go out and save people when I can't even train a new believer. I feel like I've failed God. That's what it seems like. It seems like I've failed. I've been selfish.

On a lighter note, I've decided to lead worship for winter conference. I think God has opened this door for me and so I'm going to go through it. It's cool because I've always dreamed about leading worship at large events. I dunno why, maybe it's just the rock start inside of me! :) hahaha.

Since I am leading a set of worship, that means that I need a team as well. That also means that my team will have to go to winter conference. Is anyone interested?? I think it's about $100 for the conference by itself (4 days, no meals). It's also in Calgary this year (Telus Convention Centre). The dates are...I forget...but I think it's around Dec 27ish? It would be a great opportunity to grow in worship with God. Also you get to meet a lot of people. I need instrumentalist and singers!

This is a great week. I can't complain about this week. Only 2 more days left. Kinda happy...kinda sad. On one hand, I'm finishing work. On the other hand, there is no more cash flow. Ohh well...

I'm going to start school soon, so I'm pretty stoked about that. Not that I like school or anything, but at least I get to hang out with my friends. This year will be totally a gong show.

Well, since everyone is blogging about camp, I might as well do it too.

hmm....what to say....what to say....

Camp was awesome. It was a time for me to rest, to reflect, and to dream. There's so much that I felt, I don't even know where to begin.

The best thing that I wouldn't trade a million dollars for -> seeing the youth worship and seeing their hearts, hurts, and joy turn slowly to God.

In the prayer room, I felt compassion and the hurt and pain of the young ones in our group. My heart just broke and I feel completely to the ground broken, and then I became more broken when I saw James' name on the wall. My heart screamed inside. I wanted to cry out. I wanted God to come and just take the pain away, but at the same time, I didn't want it to go away. I wanted to have this feeling forever because then I would know what it felt like...what it felt like to have God's heart breaking for our youth.

Dreams....ideas....thoughts they all come just rusing to my head. Questions about my future....questions about relationships. Thoughts on re:focusing.

I will tell you this. I got the feeling that this year will be different from all the other school years. The schools are ripe for the harvest, but it won't be us (the leaders) that lead the students to Christ. It will be the youth....with their love, actions, and prayers. Keep on praying for saved lives!!

Give me a passion once again for the youth. God I stand in the GAP! GOD SAVE THE STUDENTS IN CALGARY! In Jesus name I pray!

The Decisions!

Well...today is Friday....and what a beautiful Friday it is.....NOT! Actually I'm glad that it's raining. Get it out of the system now so that we can have good weather GOd! hahaha :)

So I've been asked to join the worship team for winter conference, but I don't know if I want to do it. I'm still praying about it. It would be cool. I've always wanted to do something like it....but is it God's plan for me? Pray for me, we will see where he leads!

I've always wanted to do a worship ministry thingy. I think that would be cool to lead worship at other churches. It would definitely need to be in God's will though, and I would probably need a set team. Maybe Sam's magic ministry will turn into a magical musical ministry....hahaha.

So Jackson asked me yesterday, "Do you ever feel bad that our practices are so short?". For those of you who don't know, our worship practices are never more than 45 mins long, and we never have more than 2 practices! hahaha. Well, my answer to that was, "Nope! I don't feel bad at all!" hahaha. Just like piano, I don't like to practice, but worship is a little different because it's actually cool to worship God. To me, I think if you practice a lot, it takes away from the spontaneous nature of worship. I like spontaneous worship, but I guess that's just how I was brought up. Some people need to practice it a million times.

Looking back at our worship, I actually think we've grown a lot. We still need to improve, but I think if we seek to do that individually, it would be easier when we come together as a team. I'm excited to have the new worship team members on our team. I keep on forgetting, but I want to ask Louise to play for me. Someone remind me next time!

I think it just might be time for me to take less of a dominant role in the forefront of worship. Does that mean I'm quitting the worship team?? Yep, You Betcha!! NOT! Actuary.....I'm probably not going to play as much, but help integrate the newbies into the worship teams.

It's tough when you only have 4 (soon to be 3) worship leaders, but we need to involve everybody. Who's on the worship team?? (Comment if I missed anybody)

Almost done

So today is officially my last day of classes....after this there are no more summer classes. I'm sitting in the classroom right now waiting for class to start. I have my final presentation today. I'm kinda nervous, but I really shouldn't be because we aren't really talking.

You see, to be original, my group decided on doing a video for our presentation. We decided to do the crocodile hunter...hahaha.....

It's funny because I have a east indian crocodile hunter and a chinese assistant, and both of us have australian accents. Ohh yeah....I almost forgot to mention our Filipino camera man acting like a chinese man. hahaha.

My accent sucks, but ohh well.

Maybe i'll post it on google video. it should be funny!!

Wow....new posts all around....now I actually can spend some time reading it!

Well, there's only 2.5 weeks left in my internship. I have decided to have a 2 week going away party...haha. I think that will be a blast.

Whoever wants to go have lunch in these last couple of weeks, give me a call before I leave downtown for a long time.

So we finally have the camp sets and all that stuff, but we're having difficulty practicing. Maybe I just won't hold practices until camp? Or I'll work with individual people for my sets.

I hate summer school. I think going to school at this time is absolutely the worse time to go. Doing spring is alright, but summer sucks because you don't get to do anything. I wanted to go to a lot of things this summer, but I can't. Writing essays is from the devil too!

I'm thinking about taking golf lessons.....anyone want to join me?

Summer camp in 1.5 weeks. I'm excited, but nervous at the same time. The new medication for my asthma is making me lose my voice, and when I have an asthma attack, I can't sing....let's hope I don't get one at camp. I wish my asthma would go away...that would be great. It's especially bad this year too...I don't know why, but it really really sucks.

Alright, it's time for me to go surfing now. Surf the world wide web that is! hahahaha!

I just noticed that my dress shirt....the one that I have on right now, has a little section for your PEN!! NOW I CAN REALLY BE A GEEK!!

How come I just found this out now?? I've had this shirt for like 6 years! SIX YEARS!!

This shirt must have been made by an engineer...hahaha....

So, I think I'm done everything at work. I kinda don't want to say to my boss that I'm done because they'll just give me more stupid work to do. I only have 3 weeks left of working. 3 weeks and counting. My last day of work is the 25. After that, I'm looking forward to staying up really late....and hanging out with people. I haven't really been able to hang out with a lot of people. This is partially because I've either had to sleep because of work the next day, or because I have and exam, assignment or group meeting.

I can't wait to be done.....done.....done!!

As for now, I'll just sit here and see if my shirt has any other cool functionalities. Actually, I'm probably going to make my camp sets. I want to sing so many new songs, but we can't...hahaha......still thinking about the camp theme song. Any suggestions anyone?

I'm uber tired right now. I don't know what it is, but I'm just really really tired. I feel like I can sleep for days.

I think I'm done with work. I think I need a vacation. It'll be so nice when summer camp rolls by. Then I don't have to do anything...except for study because I probably have to write my final for my class after camp (which totally sucks). My midterm on Monday was pretty good. I thank God that teachers like to use old midterms....hahahaha.

My cousin James was admitted to the hospital the other day. He was diagnosed with osteogenic cancer today. Pray that God will heal him and that God will be with his family.

Hello All,

Let's see...did anything happen this week? Nope, just the same old week.

Work was better this week. I at least got some work done. There's also a new grad who started last week, but I didn't notice him until this week. He's from Edmonton and he just graduated from electrical engineering. He's pretty cool. Usually all the guys that I know that are chinese and in electrical engineering are pretty weird. Especially those who graduated from U of A (*cough* Milton...where did he go??).

Today there's some sort of games happening on my floor to celebrate stampede. I hope we get to go home early. That would just make my day. I only have like 6 more weeks of working and since one of those weeks is for summer camp, it's only like 5 more weeks. CRAZY!! My internship is almost over!

Now that I look back on it. It's definitely been a blessing from God. I never would have met cool people or done cool things (Grandstand, Zoo Lights, field work, riding mechanical bull, etc.) if I didn't have this job.

Right now, I'm focused on my class that I'm in. Just 5 more weeks of that class too and then it's my last year baby!! WOO HOO! I can't believe I'm almost done. I can't beleive it's not butter. Hopefully I can pull good grades in my last year and torture the frosh kids like James and Calvin....hehehe....ohh man...prepare for pie week boys!!

Well that's all for today. I hope everyone has a good weekend. There's the church picnic this Saturday, which I won't be going to because I'm going to the RODEO!! YEEE HAW!

So today, Sam and I had planned to go to the Joey's Tomatoes in Eau Claire for some good stampede breakfast eatin'. Our names were even on the guestlist.

When I went to go check my work email this morning, they said that they had over 700 RSVP's and so therefore my name and Sam's name was taken off the guestlist. What a bunch of crap.

Being disappointed and hungry, me and Sam decided to just drive and see if we could find a breakfast anywhere. When we got into the car, Sam remembered that today was the Carriage House Inn breakfast. Usually this breakfast is really good so we decided to make a pittstop. It was 6:30AM so we didn't know if it had started yet. To our pleasant surprise, it did indeed start and we were one of the first people there! hahaha. It was good, but it wasn't that good. They were even serving beer....BEER at 7:00AM. SICK! I can't even handle beer when it is 7:00PM!

So that's my story. Sam ended up being super early for work, and I ended up being 1 hour late for work, but that's ok because my boss is working from home this week! :) hahaha.

Today there is a free lunch at Petro Canada for those of you who are interested. Here's a list of all the wonderful stampede breakfasts!

It's been a long time since I last blogged. Why has it been so long?? well simply because I have nothing interesting going on in my life! :)

One highlight of the past couple of weeks is that I got 2 free cowboy hats from downtown. For the past couple of months I've been telling Sam, AC, and Uncle Bill that we should go get free cowboy hats, and one day while we were eating lunch. Uncle Bill ran into one of his co-workers who said that they were giving out the hats today. We all looked at each other and said, "TODAY?!?!" and then we were off to the races! It's amazing how fast chinese people go when something is free....hahaha Uncle Bill was walking really fast! :)

I get to go watch the Grandstand show again this year. This will be my last year of watching it, but it's been really cool being able to go these past 2 years. I"m still new to it so it still is kinda exciting, but people around the company say that it's pretty much always similar shows every year so it's not that exciting.

This year, I'll be going to the Stampede at least 3 times, but the good thing is that all 3 times will be for something different so hopefully, it won't be boring.

DOES ANYONE HAVE A CAMCORDER THAT I CAN BORROW???? I NEED A REPLY BY THURSDAY PLEASE.

I start school tonight. Hopefully it'll be an interesting class so I can stay awake. Apparantly, the final exam is on August 16, which is summer camp week, but I've already talked to the prof and she said that I can write the exam on August 11.

Boy, I guess for not having anything happen in my life, I've typed quite a bit...alright, time to go back to work.

So tonight, Robin Mark (yes, the Irish dude) is leading worship at the Bearspaw Rockpointe Church. It starts at 7:00 so whoever wants to come should show up there. He's the guy who wrote "Days of Elijah" and he has all those Revival at Belfast cd's. It should be a really good night.

It's kinda cool what I can find online at work. It seems like my searching capabilities are so much better when I'm at work then when I'm at home. Here's a little video I found.

So I was looking on a website, and it said Anberlin was coming on July 22! I thought whoa cool!! It's been while since a good concert came to Calgary.

Then I thought....there's something happening on July 22 though...but I forget what it is.....then it hit me....ohh yeah....it's AC & Flora's wedding that day. I guess it wouldn't look too good if one of the groomsmen was missing! :) hahahaha j/k.

Ohh well, I guess I'll have to see their show another time. If they're coming now, they'll come again.

Well, 33 is the number of Patrick Roy's jersey. It is also Sam's name twice! and today, for one day only, it's the number of the parking stall that I stole from some guy! hahahaha!

I hope I don't get busted. I haven't parked in the parking lot in a while because I got busted once. Let's hope that doesn't happen again or else my car will be ticketed and towed! I like parking in the parking lot....makes work a little more interesting because I'm so afraid of getting caught. It's what keeps me awake during work because the adrenaline is going.

The work these days is slowly piling on....I didn't realize how much I had to do until I looked at all the things that are assigned to me. I hope I get to go to the plants...that'll be fun again. I like going to the plants, that way I don't have to sit in my chair all day and watch my butt grow sideways.

Tonight is grad night. I made a slideshow again, but since I didn't have all the graduates pictures, I decided not to put any of their pictures in it. Who's pictures did I use? Well...I used complete stranger's pictures....people we don't even know....hahaha.....j/k. You'll just have to come tonight to find out what I used. I didn't really have any time, so this one is not as spectacular as the other ones...but I still spent a good chunk of my time doing it.

Today, I had Arby's for lunch....and I giant sized it....mmm...curly fries......

I wish I could go home....I'm tired....bored.....AND I JUST WANT TO GO HOME!!

So yesterday I went to Blessings looking to use the coupon that I posted (*points to the post below*). I didn't have much time, and I already knew what I was going to get so I quickly went inside the store and picked it up. When i went to pick it up, it was $19.99 and so I needed an extra $5.00 to get the $10.00 off. So I went to the cd sampler section. I picked up a sample cd and I quickly went to the cashier.

The guy rang in my Tree63 cd and then looked at the sampler, and then he said, "bah...I'll just give you this cd for free". Then I said, "Cool, but I was going to use this $10.00 off coupon." To which he replied, "Oh, I'll give it to you anyways."

My eyes widened (yes, my eyes went from tiny slits, to slits with little brown dots in the middle) at the thought of getting an awesome deal! So when I walked out of Blessings, I got 2 cds for $10.00...SWEET! The bonus is that the sampler cd I picked up is a cd on one side, and a dvd on the other side (dvd quality version of the cd plus a couple of music videos). I wanted to pick up the sampler dvd with all the music videos, but I couldn't find it.....maybe the next time I use the $10.00 gift certificate....hahahahaha!

Are you tired of what they play on Shine?? Well, I am. It just seems so boring and so old. It's kinda getting better, but it's not really. I've been so fed up with it that I actually wrote them an email. The email was just basically giving a suggestion that they should have a daily time slot dedicated to the youth of Calgary. I think they would like it a lot, but no...there's too many old fogies in Calgary who like their easy listening Christian music...

I found a good site the other day. They play good Christian music. I was amazed at the things they were playing. Like United, Mae, Anberlin, Emery, Switchfoot, etc. They were even playing the other songs on the albums. You know the stuff that the radios don't play because they aren't popular songs. Too bad this radio station was in Sydney, Australia. The Aussies are so cool...I definitely want to go there someday.

AWESOME!

I think this year was completely different from last year just because there was different people, but it was great!

The highlight for me was Chris Tomlin's worship. It was really relaxed and free and just super good. I didn't really expect that from him, but God was totally there. I think he is a person that you have to see live because you just don't get the same effect when you listen to his CD's.

Miles Mcpherson was a pretty good speaker. He relates really well with youth and new believers, but I think I like Mike Pilavachi better....he really made you think in his sermons. Tree63's best worship set was on Sunday, that's when they played most of their better songs...hahaha, but like Milton said, they were pretty repetitive. I don't know if we are all just United fans, but there's nothing that can beat United worship leading.

Hawk Nelson has definitely gotten better. They just had a better concert in general. That's probably because they were actually in a concert hall instead of being the Sportex.

I bought a touque from Riley Armstrong booth, and when I purchased it, I looked at the name tag of the person selling to me and it was RILEY ARMSTRONG!! I was like....whoa!! What happened to your dreads?? And then I told him about how I remember him having a concert at the U of C a long time ago and it was only $5 and how he was the best "one man band in the land".

The Newsboys was really good too. The whole time, I just wanted to hear Breakfast, but they didn't play it, and the show was over. I was like...aww man....everyone was screaming and it lasted for like 5 mins and then the encore came. The famous guitar riff played, and then I heard, "Hold the milk, put back the sugar..." I was SCREAMING!! IT WAS AWESOME!! (arrrg....I'm trying to find a mp3 of the song right now, but I can't find one....UPDATE: THANKS JEN - High 5!)

So there I was sitting at the TV watching the Oilers game....yes...I was watching the Oilers game, when all of a sudden it hit me. Shoot! I have to pick up a book from my friend. After the second period, I decided to leave.

So after calling my friend and saying that I'll be over in 10 mins, I left the house, but I decided to take the long way (simply because I wanted to go for a ride too). So as I was driving around Lake Bonavista, I saw this house, and in front of this house was 4 golf bags/sets/carts and a big sign that said, "FOR SALE". Being the bargain finder that I am, I stopped immediately and went for a look. They were really old old clubs, but since I'm just starting out, I figure...meh...old clubs...I can learn on these and if I really get into it, I might buy new ones. For some reason though, I really like old clubs...I find them interesting...they're vintage!

So anyways....the best bag, he was selling for $50. At first I said $30, but he said $30 was too low and he suggested $40. I looked at my watch and saw that I was late, so I just gave him the $40. In hindsight, I probably could have pushed it for $30, but he was an old man...and he was stinky....my mind was confused by the smell...hehehe.

So all in all, I got 10 clubs, a golf bag (in an old, sorta decent condition), and a pretty good golf bag stroller for $40.

Do you think that's a good deal?

The start of something really bad???

I've never bought anything online before. The only thing I have ever bought was a hardcover book, and it came kinda damaged, so I was disappointed.

Since I was craving new music, I stumbled upon this website at work and I saw this:

I thought....whoa....I get a t-shirt and 2 cds for $30. Although these cds aren't new, it is still a couple of new cds to me, and the cd on the left is like a story book that songs go with so it should be pretty cool. I wanted a different design on the t-shirt (there are much cooler ones on the website), but meh...if it comes with the cd's that's ok. I hope the t-shirt fits. I got a medium, which is what I usually get, but sometimes the mediums are different sizes.

I kind of understand people buying shirts online, but I would only buy a shirt if it was really cool or really unique, and since I'm chinese, if it was the right price! :) hahahaha

Uh-oh....does this mean that once I start buying, I'll never want to stop.

I kind of want to buy an mp3 player again. The one that I've been researching for the longest time has come down in price and is on sale this week....

It's a 20gig mp3 player that plays divx, avi, wmv, and mpeg4. It's also a mpeg4 camcorder that takes 1.3 megapixel pics, and it's on sale this week for $287US. You can also output this thing on tv and the resolution is 720 x 480. Not to mention it's a USB host so you can plug your digital camera in here and upload your pics to make room for more pics. You can also play mophun games on it (which isn't a big deal).

Should I, or shouldn't I?? What do you guys think??

Washroom talk is weird.

I think talking to someone in the washroom is weird and awkward.

Today my boss' manager walked in and he decided to have a conversation with me. I was about to go to the washroom, but I just decided to pretend that I've already went and I was just washing my hands.

It's definitely weird talking to someone while they're peeing...it's not right. With guys, since there is a urinal, they just turn their heads to talk, BUT IT'S WEIRD!
Good thing I was washing my hands. Could you imagine if we were beside each other and talking.

I wonder if girls talk between the stalls??

I hate doing stupid work. It's totally useless. I just found out today that the guy that I'm doing this work for is leaving the company. I hope they don't expand his role to me because I WOULD ABSOLUTELY HATE IT!!!

It's kind of nice having a parking spot. I definitely wake up later and it's always a nice drive. There's never any doubt if you're going to find a spot and all you do is just casually roll in.

I need new music to listen to. I'm kind of tired of listening to my music. Maybe I'll go and download some today at work...hahahaha.

I hate expectations. It seems like in today's society, there are always expectations. For example, you're expected to go to school and get a degree and after you go to school, start work. I dunno if I want to work right after I graduate. I kind of want to go do other stuff. I want to do something that I really want to do. It's totally true that you have to find your own opportunities. Nothing is ever going to fall in your lap. I want to experience things outside of the normal and really get the most out of my youth.

I kind of feel like dropping everything and just leave. My parents would freak, but it would be so cool to just go.

Things I want to do:
1. Go to Hillsongs Australia - Maybe even enroll in their college?
2. Travel to Europe...see the cool sites.
3. Travel to Egypt...see the cool pyramids.
4. Become a ROCKSTAR!

I think I'm going to start writing worship songs. I've always wanted to do that, and I've written a couple, but those are usually spontaneous songs while I'm worshipping and I pretty much forget them the next day. The thing about writing worship songs is that you have to look at the motive of writing it. If you just want to write a song that'll become famous and be on the next Passion CD, then you should definitely not be writing songs. It's all about the heart man...hehehe.

I remember listening to Darrell Evans at Breakforth and how he become a songwriter. At first, all he wanted to do was get into the business and make really fantastic songs (who doesn't?), but he kept on getting rejected by Vineyard. Finally, he just gave up and decided not to try to force it in himself, but let God do the work. Before you know it, he was picked up by Integrity (which was the label he didn't want to get in to), but it opened doors for him. I remember him saying to give your dreams to God, and let Him open doors. That doesn't mean stop working, but rely on the fact that God has amazing things in store for you.

What's my dream?

My dream is to have a growing, deep youth group that'll go beyond the normal and do amazing things for God. My dream is to have super fantastic worship at church day in and day out, week after week. My dream is that our church will explode with people that are thirsty and passionate for God to move.

All you Super Smash Bros fans out there....

This week is E3, which is an electronic gaming convention and so all the major companies have been showing off their latest and greatest. So far, from what I've been reading, Nintendo has been kicking butt...so we'll see if the Wii is really as good as they say it is.

For those of you that know me, I'm not the biggest gamer (I only enjoy playing short fun games), but keeping up with this stuff gives me things to do at work, and you never know when it'll come in handy for YAC...hahahaha..

Wii.....I want one...

Whoa....this looks really really cool...

This is the new Nintendo Wii (a.k.a Revolution - but not anymore).

I think the coolest thing about this is the controller. It has 2 components and they have motion sensors to detect your movement it's really really cool.

Here's a clip of the Wii at E3. They are actually playing a tennis game. Could you imagine using this machine for first person shooter games like "House of the Dead"??

This would definitely be the console I would get, even though it doesn't have the nifty side things like the xbox 360 or the PS3, but it's soo cool compared with the other consoles. It's very original and the games look really fun too; especially if you are playing with other people.

Yesterday was so relaxing....

my mind has been all over the place lately. So much that I've been tired both mentally and physically. So yesterday I slept....and slept......I called in sick for work and I slept...

It's not like I had an overly long sleep (11 hrs), but it was still double of what I usually get. It's hard to go through the entire year without having days off....usually I would be getting those school breaks as well as the occasional skipping, but this year it's just been straight working. Also, since I'm a contract worker, I get no holidays and so whenever I take a day off, I don't get paid, which kinda sucks because I end up doing other people's work when they are on holidays....

I don't know what I'm feeling now.....there's a combination of everything, but the majority of it is being tired, frustrated, and kinda angry. Do you ever feel like you just want to scream. I want to scream. Either scream or punch something over and over again...but it can't be a pillow...it has to be something else.......like someone's head or stomach! :) hahahaha j/k

This is the time when I wish something awesome would happen. I had a couple of thoughts the other day during Saturday morning prayer.

Here are just some of my thoughts:

1. I think the leadership of the church needs to come together to pray as one body, and by leadership, that includes the fellowship leaders and basically everyone that is involved in church. I know it's difficult, but then we can support one another and strive towards one goal. It just seems like we are all on our own, and it seems like we are all doing this by our own strength, not God's. I don't mean hairy fairy prayers either. I mean full out, powerful, spirit filled prayers that takes a stand against satan. Prayers that declare our church as a battle field. To take back want was stolen from us and to advance God's kingdom. No more of this stepping back and waiting to see what's going to happen. Let's seek God and step forward. Let's go into battle....it's time for it. WAKE UP church WAKE UP! When's the last time we really prayed against satan? When's the last time we prayed for people in the church. I mean really pray (enpowerment, strength, spiritual gifts). Like the walls of Jericho, it feels like our church needs to scream, shout and cry out to God to tear down the walls. TEAR DOWN THE WALLS!!!

2. I've had dreams, maybe they are just my dreams, but they are awesome dreams. Dreams of YAC and us giving an alter call and having the youth step forward to answer God's cry. Then in the dreams, the people lay their hands on the youth and pray OUT LOUD and then there is just an awesome spiritual movement among the youth. I see the youth lifting their hands and just giving everything to God. Maybe it's just my dream, but wouldn't that be awesome...

I've been distracted lately. I've been completely lost and selfish. God is telling me to stay pure. God is telling me to be ready. To know His Words, to know His truth. Seek Him in prayer....it's coming soon, but are YOU ready?

I haven't blogged very much this week.

Probably because there isn't much to blog about. There is this one thing though...

I finally have been spotted in the parking lot and I received a warning on monday saying that if I parked in the lot again, I would be ticketed and towed. They didn't tell me face to face, but they left a note on my car. I probably picked someone's spot that came in the afternoon, and to that person I say...."why are you coming to work in the afternoon?".

However, in a recent turn of events, my co-worker wanted me to do something for him while he is on vacation and to him I replied that I would do it, then I asked, "Do you drive to work?"

"Yes" he said.
"Do you park in the parking lot?" I asked
"Yes I do" he said.
"Can I have your parking spot while you are on vacation??" I asked
To this he replied, "You sneaky little _________, yes you can have my spot!"

hahaha....it's all about the neogotiations baby!

I just hope the security guard doesn't come and ticket and tow my car when I actually do have a spot...hahahaha!

I'm tired....I wish this day was over!! Maybe I'll go home early....like really early! hahaha...

Let's hope my finger is healed enough so I can play the guitar tonight.

I've decided that I'm not going to watch the NHL anymore....it just doesn't interest me after the early exit of the Flames. I might watch a couple of games when it actually gets to the stanley cup finals, but meh....

C'mon finger, don't bail on me now!

I'm LATE...

That's right, I'm having a baby...hahahaha j/k.

Today I was pretty late in getting to work, but the funny thing was that I just didn't care. So there I was just casually walking to work. Enjoying the blue skies and the cold crisp air.

My head has been hurting for the past week. It's not a constant pain. It only happens when I cough and the pain is in the back of my brain. Who can tell me what part of the brain that is?? I think it might be because I slept funny last week and it did something funky to my brain or maybe it's something else.

Last night was weird. I was starting to fall asleep when all of a sudden I couldn't move and it felt like my body was being dragged somewhere. I was fully concious, but I could hear myself snoring. It was like my body is calm on the outside, but my inside is trying to scream/shout out. That's happened a couple of times now. Interesting....interesting indeed.

Sprained...

I sprained my finger yesterday playing basketball and now it really hurts. I hope I can still play football on monday. My finger swelled up quite a bit and it hurts to move it, but hopefully my finger won't turn out to be like Philip's :) hehehe....have you seen it? It's gross! hahaha :) j/k. Along with spraining my finger, I had a really good game yesterday...I was taking it to the hoop...too bad I couldn't play like that during the regular season....mind you we don't really play that hard when it's just our team....

It's really difficult typing without using your ring finger. I never noticed how much I use it for typing. Ohh man...I hope I can still play the guitar on Sunday...I'm worship leading too...simeone might have to play for me...

I went to Towa yesterday with my sister and dad. I think it changed owners. I think it changed to chinese owners, which only means one thing, IT WAS BAD!! the portions were a lot smaller, and it was still just as expensive. The restaurant was pretty empty for lunch time too...usually it's pretty packed. How do I know that they changed owners? I don't, but my dad said that he saw an advertisement for Towa in the Chinese newspaper, which they never used to do. It took a really long time to get our sushi too,which is odd because it wasn't packed and it's sushi, there's nothing to cook. So there goes another decent calgary sushi restaurant.

....and the soreness continues....

It all started on Saturday when my friend called me to see if I wanted to play squash. It's been like a year since I've played squash and he's been playing on and off and so he totally killed me in the first game. I wasn't satisfied with my playing and so we kept on playing. Gradually, my hand eye coordination got better and I finally beat him, but it took like 2-3 hours of playing.

The next day, I woke up and all I can say is..."ouch". My arm started to hurt and my hamstrings were huting and in pain. Then after service, we went to play football with everyone. OHh man....did I ever do a lot of running. I didn't want to run, but I always end up running because the adrenaline kicks in and it doesn't hurt. I think we played for a long time on Sunday too.

I woke up on Monday and I could barely walk. Both my legs were hurting from my hips to my toes. It literally took me 3 minutes to get from my room to the bathroom, and then I thought, "Ohh man, how am I going to play football tonight". Tonight was the first game in our city rec league. I was literally walking like I had bars attached to my knees to keep it from bending. Even my co-workers made fun of me. Later on that night, the game started. My muscles felt really tight and super sore, but I had to play.....this one was for the team. For the WIN. As soon as I stepped on to the field and the first ball was thrown, the adrenaline kicked in...hahaha....no more pain, and so I ran......and ran.....and ran. I was tired. We beat our first team pretty good, and we tied our second team (which kinda sucks, but meh...ohh well - we were really tired).
As an added bonus, I got an interception and was assaulted by the same guy 3 times! hahaha.

Afterwards, we went to BP's and it started to hurt again.....

....it was really tough getting up this morning....

I've made a new picture page, which one is better?

- One requires flickr <- which is alright, but you can only have like 100 pictures (not that I'll ever reach that amount, but you never know)

- For the other one, you can put as many pictures as you want (as much as your webspace can hold)

The second one is pretty handy for those that have webspaces. If you don't have a webspace and you want to post pictures, I recommend the flickr one...it's pretty good. Both the photoscripts are for rookie 'html'-er's like myself. If you're a prostar, prove you are a prostar and make one yourself...hahaha....like holepuncher b.

hahaha.....who knows where that quote is from?? It's a pretty funny movie too...not the greatest movie, but entertaining.

At work, they have started something called Jersey and Jeans day so basically on game day, you can wear the colors of your team with jeans until they are kicked out of the playoffs...since the flames play every other day....I might just wear different colors so I can wear jeans to work...hahaha...that would be pretty funny.

As we speak, I am wearing "my jersey"....

I should have put my name into the draws to get playoff tickets....crappy...ohh well...I'll do that second round. Or maybe I'll buy tickets and sell them to see how much they'll go for...hahaha. I was reading something that compared hockey in Anahiem to hockey in Calgary. The one thing that I remember the most is that in Anahiem, hockey tickets are given as the "runner up" prize in contests and stuff like that, where as in Calgary, people will pay insane amounts of money just to go watch a game and it would be first prize. I hate how some of the stronger teams in the NHL have no fan base.....it's like what's the point?!? Like when Tampa won the cup?!? Did anyone even notice in Florida of all places? I bet they've never seen snow before...hahaha

Haha....I remember when I was young, I used to think why do people sit outside on the patio when there are perfectly good seats inside and there are no bugs at all.

Now that I'm older...I think why are people sitting inside when the weather is super nice outside?? hahaha....I think it comes with age, but I like sitting outside in the patio now. Good thing my work has a nice patio for people to sit and eat their lunch. It was so nice just to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.

I think I need a day off. I know we just had a long weekend and all, but it wasn't really a long weekend for me because I had to study. I'm just tired. It sucks to be a contract worker because you don't get any holidays or benefits. I've been working here for a year now and I've basically come every single day. All regular employees get 4 weeks of holidays in a year. I've had zero. Even the mexican gets 10 days holidays....where's mine??

I should be getting holidays...fo shizzle...

So I downloaded a couple songs from mae, and they have a really cool sound. I've heard of them before, but I've never really listened to their stuff. Apparently for their latest cd "The Everglow" it's actually a story book for the CD sleeve and the songs go with it...now I have to get the CD to see what it's like. They also re-released the cd and I think and it has a special bonus DVD....cool....I'm definitely going to have to buy it. I read that the story kinda looks like "Where the Wild Things Are"

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. I AM DONE MY EXAM!!

hahaha...it's funny that I am so happy considering I only had one exam, but I was also taking another course as well. Taking these 2 courses reminded me of how much I dislike school.

I sacrificed 2 football games and hanging out for this stupid exam. I was really nervous before the exam too because there could have been anything on this exam. 4 questions in 3 hours...I know that doesn't sound a lot, but when each question takes you 30-45 mins to finish if you understand it, just imagine how long it would take you if you didn't understand it??

So my exam time was at 7:00pm (who has exams from 7:00 - 10:00??) and as I said before, I was really nervous and so I prayed (like I do for all my exams...you should too...it helps!), but after looking at the first question and finishing it in 10 mins....the nervousness just went away and I burned through the exam. and finished it in 2 hrs and 45 mins....thank God. The exam wasn't too difficult for me, which means that it wasn't difficult for anybody else either. I just hope that I wrote enough and analyzed the logs enough. This was probably the most practical and useful course that I have ever taken in school. It's knowledge that I can actually use in industry so that's good.

So that's 2 more courses down and 9 more to go......

Just imagine what my last year would have been like if I didn't take these courses over my internship period. From the time that I started working, I've taken 4 courses total, and if I take one in the summer, that would be 5. I would have had 13 freaking courses in my 4th year if I didn't go to school over internship......CRAZY!!

now it's time to go BUCK WILD! hahahaha.....

In all my years of engineering, I have never stayed at school past 10:00pm. Usually by the time it hits 10:00 I go home because I'm finished my project, or I just don't care anymore and I hand it in.

Yesterday, I was at school until freaking 1:20am...what the heck?? It wasn't even an engineering course....stupid coms 363......stupid professor. How in the world do I spend more time on this project than any other freaking engineering projects in my entire university career??

I got home at l ike 1:45 yesterday and went to sleep at 2:00....and then proceeded to wake up at 5:30 to go to work.....yuck.....I'm tired, cranky, and I just need to have something good happen to me...

perfection is good when handing in reports, but it comes to a point when it's just not worth it because you are spending so much time just to up your grade from a B to a B+....if it was a definite A I would surly do it.....maybe....depending on the time....hahahaha.

Seriously though...with all that time spent....it's still a B+ paper.....waste of time...fo shizzle...

Today, I was so tired I parked directly into the company lot....I hope the person's spot that I took is not here today...

Good thing it's the weekend tomorrow....now all I have to do is study and write my test on Monday.....

I recommend taking classes during internship, but make sure they are relatively fun classes.....

What a great weekend. It was really good seeing Rev Powell again. He's so cool and he totally understands the youth too, which makes him even more cooler! hahaha

I actually thought it would be a very tiring weekend. On top of the church stuff, I had to run back and forth from school and finish group projects. The church part definitely wasn't tiring, but the school kinda was...hahaha.

The rally on Saturday night was awesome. I really didn't know what to expect. Last time we had a rally, I don't recall having that many youth in the congregation, but on Saturday it was awesome. I think they said something like 170-180 people were there....sweet! It was so much fun playing and worshipping with Jay, Richie, Caleb, and Sarah. It's probably because we aren't too technical, we just love playing...hahaha. Everyone loved Rev. Powell too which is totally awesome. I wondered how the other churches would react because we have this stereotype of being "Pentecostal", but they really enjoyed it...even though it wasn't really "Pentecostal". It was funny watching our youth jump and only a certain select crowd of people. So from where I was standing it was the entire right side with a couple of heads bobbing up and down over in the center and left rows...hahaha.

Sunday was good too. I don't know when the last time we had an alter call was, but it definitely was the time because 2 people got saved. Sweet! Now we just have to disciple them and mentor them and make sure they stay in the church. I'm excited for our church. It seems like God is really starting to move. I can't wait till I'm done school and then I can go to prayer. They started a Sunday evening prayer meeting, which I'm kinda thinking about going to. I wish they would have put it in the middle of the week though because if I go to the Saturday prayer as well as the Sunday prayer...that's a lot of prayer for the weekend. Not that it's bad or anything, but I just think that prayer time in the middle of the week is better.

I should start a prayer meeting in the middle of the week to compete with the Sunday night one! :) hahahaha

that God's trying to tell you something??

I think God is trying to tell me something, but my mind is just so cluttered with crap that it's just not getting through.

These past couple of months have been really really hard. I've stopped going to prayer because of my weekend class, and I think that has hit me a lot. I miss prayer. That time for me was the time where I could reflect and thank God for the week. I know I can pray at home and all that, but there was just something about that time on Saturday mornings. There was a peace to that time. Whenever I had exams, busyness, stress, I would go to prayer and all of that would just disappear.

God has given me a vision, a dream, but I know that if I try to do it myself, it's going to FAIL. It's kinda funny because He's been revealing it to me a little at a time. Until now, I didn't really know what God has been trying to tell me because it's been happening in pieces.....now I'm just waiting for confirmation. So I'm not going to tell you what the dream is. Please pray for me...I dunno about what, but just pray for me. God, I pray that if it is your plan, that you would reveal it to others as well.

I read a good quote the other day from Mike Pilavachi. For those of you who don't know, he started Sould Survivor and he's the pastor of Tim Hughes and Matt Redman

I received an email today. It was asking if I, Leo Chan, wanted to be VP Academics of CESS. I thought to myself, "huh?? me?? VP of Academics?? But I have like the worst grades..." hahaha. Then they said, "Oh no...it has nothing to do with academics." For those of you who don't know, CESS is the Chemical Engineering Student Society.

This role basically involves getting exams for the exam bank, organizing 2 student prof mixers, and organizing 1 technical electives info night....plus, there might be some meetings and what not here and there.

Should I do it?? I did have aspirations of being in every single engineering picture for my last year...but do I really need this extra thing on my plate??

If I say yes, that means I would have to go to the events...Frosh Week...Engg Week....Jameoke...can I possibly be the VP and still attain my below average grades?? hahaha.

Hmm....still thinking about it....what do you guys think I should do??

Side note: I went to Jr. High with the newly elected SU President...hahaha

My Very Own Amazing Blog Epiphany...

Well, I've decided that I'm going to go on the hunt for more amazing blog points. Upon reading Jackson's blog and his post about having a blog epiphany, I had this amazing thought come to my mind....some would even say it was a blog epiphany. Do you know what it was?? My blog epiphany was that I spend way too much time reading and commenting on other people's blogs. I think I spend about 2-3 hours a day combined. That's amazing isn't it? Considering I only work for 8 hours. That means that I only spend about 5 hours working.

Is it a waste of time reading other people's blog? To those that say yes, I say to them NO. This is because through the world of blogging, I've read some pretty funny and amazing stories. The one thing that I like about blogs is that it is all random. No one plans out what they are going to type, they just sit down and type. It's like creativity in 5 mins.

I think blogging is healthy for you, but just make sure you don't turn creepy...like those people who can write so much, but can't carry a conversation. You need both worlds!

I went to CP today to pick up the new United CD. It's super good!! I also picked up the new Hawk Nelson CD. Too bad United wasn't coming to YC....kinda sucks......ohh well.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to catch the Flames game at the dome...it was good game, but man...I don't no where the flames would be without Kiprusoff...hahaha...

The scoring started in the 1st period with 40 secs left when Phaneuf put a low wrister on net and it went in. The second period had no shots, and in the third, the linesman dropped the puck when the Flames weren't ready and it went to Stevie Y. who naturally flicked the puck in. Stupid linesman...they dropped the puck twice like that and the penalty calls were brutal too!!

So tied 1-1 we went to overtime, where there was another bad penalty call....and it was getting intense. Everytime I got really nervous when Detroit would shoot the puck. On one shot, it went PING! and off the post. Then we got a powerplay and we were really close, but we just couldn't get it past stupid Osgood. So we went to a shootout, and with Detroits players, they scored two while we shot two straight into Osgood's pad.

Overall it was a good game....but it seemed like it wasn't that intense. There were no big hits, fights, or anything...I really wanted to see a fight!! hahaha. Thanks Kenric again for inviting me....it was great! Those seats are SUPER NICE!!

Wow...it's been a year already. I think my age is getting to me too because man when I woke up this morning, I did not want to move at all...hahaha...I was so tired. I wish I had another couple of hours of sleep. I't s only 8:15 and I've already almost fallen asleep twice!! hahaha

So someone brought this marshmellow peanut butter brittle into work and so I decide to try it. I take one bite form this thing and it literally sent my system into some sort of shock. I think I just diabetes from eating this thing! Being the naturally greedy Chinese person that I am, I grabbed two of them to bring to my desk...yuck...and since I'm Chinese and I hate to waste food, I ate the second one sparily with some good ol chinese seasame crackers to neutralize the taste...

Man that was sweet.....I think I just got like 20 cavities along with my diabetes...

Tonight is going to be so cool for YAC! I'm looking forward to it. For those of you who like to bargain shop....tonight is the night for you!

So my parents are back....haha....I guess I have to get used to the noise now. Before, I used to just go home and sit in silence. Now, it's probably going to be going home and hearing Chinavision or my mom talking to me.

My house is probably going to smell like HK for a while, so probably I'll have a hint of that good ol mothball smell...mmmmmmmm....

They bought me 1 gig usb key and so now I can move all my mp3's from work back home...hahahha...

Welp, I suppose it's time to go to work now.

Foggy....

I like the fog.

It's really cool driving in it and walking in it. It just is a nice cool humid mist that comes to you. The fog also reminds me of my trip to San Francisco back in grade 9. I had a good time, but it was really foggy there too. It was especially cool when we went to the town of Carmel because it was a really nice little town, but the fog made it extra cool. It was almost like we were in a different world.....something like Narnia. Driving through Pebble Beach golf course was neat too.

It's funny how different things trigger different memories in your mind.

It's finally Friday...too bad I have to work at school for most of the weekend. Stupid projects...I think they should stop giving group projects in university. It's practically useless...all you do is work with people that you normally wouldn't work with in the real world so what's the point? And with my luck, you'll end up with 2 mainlanders with really stinky breath....yuck.....China breath....

Spring is great...there's daylight...it's nice and sunny and there's always new music.

Some cds I'm looking forward to getting:

I thought their first CD was pretty good. I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me. Their second CD sounds a little more like TFK, but it still sounds pretty good...it also reminds me of Fall Out Boy. If your interested, you can listen to their new songs by clicking the picture. I've been waiting for this CD for a while. Once again, it comes with a DVD so it's really good. Wow, both cds are coming out on April 4. That means that there will be 2 cd's to pick up. Hopefully they will be a "new music tuesday" selection.

Today I got to work at 6:30 in the morning....can you believe it! 6:30!! I don't know what it is, but with daylight coming earlier in the day, I find it super easy to wake up. I think I'm more of a morning person so it only makes sense.

So yesterday I decided to cook myself a burger. Since it was only 1 patty, I didn't use the regular frying pan that I usually use. I used a smaller one. So while I'm cooking, I start to notice that the burger is sticking to this supposedly non-stick frying pan. I'm like, "what the?!?!". So I quickly try to make it not stick to the frying pan so I put in some water, but that only make it worse. Then my patty starts to char, so I turn down the heat and quickly try to finish cooking this patty. I put my bun in the pan to toast it (New technique...it works wonders!!) and I place my cheese on my patty. I finish cooking and I put everything together and then I turn around to go to my family room.....and what do I see......

....I see nothing because my room was filled with smoke...hahaha...oops I forgot to turn on the hood fan!! Ohh NO! Now my house smells like burnt burger....ohh well...hopefully it'll go away.

That is all...blogger has been really slow these days...I wonder why??

Ohh and I think I have a virus on my downstairs computer because when I turned it on for the first time in a while, Norton picked up something called Trojan.DesktopHijack and quarrantined it....hmmm....crappy. I did a virus check, but there was nothing.......

Ok back to work...

I've been moved....yet again.

Now I'm officially in the crappiest spot out of the entire floor. I'm in the darkest portion of the entire floor and I'm right by the front door. I guess the positives are that there's nobody beside me so I'm basically on my own. Hopefully, this will be the last spot where they place me.

My situation reminds me of Milton in office space...hahaha...yes...his name is Milton. You all know who I'm talking about...it's the guy who always stutters and gets moved around the office...hahaha....

Anyways...the moving people suck because they moved my phone, but not my computer and now the new guy whose supposed to take my spot is here...and I don't know what to do.

This is messed up!! Anyways...I have sort this crap out.

Tim Horton's is for sale!! Actually it's going public on the TSX. I think I will buy some stock just so I can say I'm a part owner of Tim Horton's hahahaha....

I bet this stock is going to skyrocket though, so make sure you get in there quickly before it's too late...the stock symbol is THI....rrrroooolllll up the riiimmm!!

I am now 1/6 in my quest for Tim's glory.

Last night after work, I went to Happy Valley to buy some siu yuk. After that, I went home and I walked my dog and then I made dinner for my dog and then I made dinner for myself. It was fairly good, but I didn't get the best cut of siu yuk. Afterwards, I turned on the TV and I saw Prison Break was on again!! WHOA!! It's an exciting show, but they showed the season finale last night, which means that the season premiere will be on next week!!

I supposed to do so much last night like homework and basketball practice, but I passed out halfway through Prison Break (7:30) and then I woke up at 10:30 and said, "Shoot...I missed basketball....crap!" and then I went upstairs and passed out on my bed and then I woke up at 5:00AM, and said, "BAH! It's time for work"

So overall, I didn't get anything done last night....and I have so much to do....there just isn't enough time.

....hehehe...reminds of the Saved by the Bell episode, where Jesse doesn't have time for anything so she starts taking pills, and then she gets addicted....anyone watch that episode?? does anyone have any pills??
